Breach Response: Investigations, Prosecutions and What to Do
In addition to being able to respond operationally and technically to a breach, organizations must also understand and be prepared for all the legal aspects of response. Savvy organizations must be knowledgeable about response and notification processes and understand the how, what and why of law enforcement and public agency interaction, including when to engage with them and the criticality of data preservation. Likewise, public-sector agencies and organizations need to be cognizant of the business drivers, priorities and procedures within the organizations they are seeking to help.
