The State of Banking Information Security Overview and Roundtable
Transcript of a Webinar Offered Exclusively to Survey Respondents Hi, I'm Tom Field, Editorial Director of Information Security Media Group. Welcome to our presentation today about the State of Banking Information Security survey.It's a project that really represents about a year's worth of work and organization on our part, and on yours too. We started months ago. Information Security Media Group just started to visualize this project, the issues that we wanted to talk about - knowing the regulatory issues that were coming down, things that were on your mind - and just what we could to do to take the pulse of the industry. We got a lot of input. We talked with thought leaders in the industry. We got our boards of advisors from both credit unions and banks together to make sure that we were talking to the relevant issues that you wanted to hear more about. This survey really represents all of those perspectives.
The results, I think, are going to speak well for themselves, and I think they're really going to spark this year's planning for you folks at financial institutions when you see the sorts of resonant issues that you all were talking about. I think you're going to find a lot of commonalities here.
I want to let you know that today's session really is just an overview. These are just the highlights of the survey. The full report will be coming soon. We're going to have an entire report that will show you every question, every answer, and, at the same time, some responses that we've gotten from follow-up conversations with respondents.
The other thing I want to tell you is: This is just the beginning. We want to come back every year and do similar research projects where we take the pulse and give you the state of information security. But we also, now that we have this research mechanism in place, want to be able to do other reports - maybe dive deeper into some of the topics that we're going to talk about today. And we'd love to have your input on what some of the topics are that you want to know more about. So, again, this is just the beginning.
