Protecting Identities in a 'Zero Trust' Environment
Microsoft’s Neha Monga on Applying AI to Spot Threats EarlySecuring identities in a "zero trust" environment requires applying multifactor authentication and then adding layers - and artificial intelligence can play a critical role, says Neha Monga, Microsoft's director of product marketing for cybersecurity and data governance - APAC.
“For our customers, we recommend identity protection, which is an AI-based tool that allows organizations to accomplish three things, including automation or detection of ID-based risks, investigating risk based on available data, and exportation of risk-detected data to the third-party utilities for further analysis,” Monga says in a video interview with Information Security Media Group.
In this interview, Monga discusses:
- How to overcome the visibility challenges with appropriate tools;
- Using enhanced monitoring capabilities to spot attacks;
- Adopting a defense-in-depth strategy to protect the crown jewels from attacks.
As Microsoft's director of product marketing for cybersecurity and data governance - APAC, Monga is responsible for product strategy, business planning and marketing for Microsoft’s growing security business in APAC. With a multifaceted career of over 19 years, spanning business strategy, channel management, audience marketing and customer support services, she focuses on helping customers and partners leverage technology to drive business outcomes.
