"We're now working with governments with Center of Excellence-type programs, to ramp up that skill. Cyber is seen as a [career] trajectory, but OT cyber is not, and it is almost more important because it helps protect critical infrastructure," he says.
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group as part of the CyberEdBoard's ongoing Profiles in Leadership series, Martinot discusses:
- The difficulty of closing the skills gap in cybersecurity for critical infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region;
- Setting up security operation centers across Asia;
- How to stay on top of the regulatory requirements across diverse countries.
Martinot is responsible for the entire Siemens Energy OT cybersecurity business across Asia, particularly securing critical infrastructure in Siemens Energy, working with governments and key sectors to defend critical infrastructure from the growing cyberthreats by building capability, education programs and research and development communities. A CyberEdBoard executive member, Martinot previously worked with leading technology companies, including Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Secureworks and others, undertaking a wide array of roles from technology consultant to director for cybersecurity.
