Broadly, the cybersecurity literacy of companies and organizations in Australia is improving, he says.
"The board is now asking questions: What is a vulnerability? What is patching?" Ahmed says.
Cybersecurity awareness and defenses are improving, particularly as organizations embrace Australia's Essential Eight, Ahmed says. The Australian Cyber Security Centre, which is part of the Australian Signals Directorate, created these baseline mitigation strategies to reduce cyber risk.
