ISMG Wraps Up Coverage from RSA Conference 2014

Information Security Media Group (ISMG), Diamond Media Sponsor at RSA Conference 2014, announces its wrap-up of extensive coverage from this year's event.

The 2014 conference took place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from Feb. 24 - Feb. 28, and ISMG's team was on hand to speak with top information security thought-leaders on the topics that matter most, including payments breaches, Internet of Things and the cybersecurity framework.

ISMG's coverage at RSA includes over 25 video interviews with speakers ranging from Michael Daniel, White House Cybersecurity Coordinator and special assistant to the President, to privacy professionals Trevor Hughes and Malcolm Harkins, as well as representatives from top information security vendors such as Solutionary, FireEye and BitSight.

The editorial team also recorded over 25 audio interviews on the show floor. Other coverage includes wrap-ups of the top press releases throughout the week, in-depth reporting from various educational sessions, and pre-event interviews with speakers including Hugh Thompson, RSA Conference's program committee chair. ISMG issued a PDF of complete coverage from the entire event, available here.

"This event was our largest ever, and with ISMG's biggest team present at the conference, we produced an unprecedented amount of content, including video interviews, articles, blogs and audio interviews, with top information security thought-leaders," says Tom Field, ISMG's Vice President of Editorial.

As part of the event programming, Field took to the stage with Kroll's Alan Brill, Experian's Michael Bruemmer and Ron Raether of Faruki Ireland & Cox in a presentation entitled "Anatomy of a Data Breach: What You Say (or Don't Say) Can Hurt You." The presentation focused on what to say, who to involve and when and how to inform customers, regulators and the media of a breach.

News Editor Howard Anderson moderated a roundtable discussion entitled "Information Security as a Competitive Advantage" alongside Mimecast VP of Field Enablement Mounil Patel. This panel session looked into the latest trends in security advantages.

ISMG hosted private briefings at its media suite for security technology vendors to learn more about ISMG's ongoing research into what drives risk and security technology purchasing decisions, including a first-of-its-kind Meet the Editors reception for public relations professionals.

ISMG also hosted two cocktail receptions during RSA Conference 2014. It's "Healthcare Information Security: The 2014 Agenda" event, sponsored by Mimecast, looked at the latest trends in healthcare information security. The "Cyber-Attacks: How to Reduce Your Risks" presentation, sponsored by CA Technologies, looked at the impact of intense cyber-attacks and how to improve incident response.

As part of it's post-event coverage, ISMG has developed an online package including complete conference coverage. To view the package, visit https://www.inforisktoday.com/handbooks/rsa-conference-2014-highlights-insights-h-52.
