Pentera CEO on How Firms Should Respond to Attack on Israel
Pentera Only Wants to Work With Clients Who Support Israel's Right to Self-DefensePentera got through the attacks on Israel with no injuries among its 180 local employees, and now 20 workers have been called up to serve in infantry or intelligence units. The automated security validation vendor, which has Israeli staff working everywhere from Cyprus to Greece to Germany, is now taking a stand in support of the nation of Israel.
CEO Amitai Ratzon said Pentera does business with companies that share its values, and from now on, he only wants to do business with people who support Israel's right to defend itself.

"This is the time to be on the right side of history because what we've gone through - probably the highest amount of Jews ever killed since the Holocaust in one day - doesn't leave room for interpretation or for political opinion," Ratzon said. "I expect people to take a side, because this is not the time to say, 'Yes, but it's complicated.' It's not more complicated."
The ex-Paratroopers 890 battalion combat officer compared the attack to "30,000 U.S. kids, men and women getting kidnapped from Jersey City and taken to Afghanistan" (see: Israel-Hamas War: Publicity-Seeking Hacktivists Take Sides).
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Ratzon also discussed:
- His biggest priorities as CEO of an Israel-based company during the crisis;
- The impact of 11% of Pentera's workforce being deployed;
- How Pentera has supported its Israel-based workers.
Ratzon started as Pentera's CEO January 2018 and transitioned the company from stealth mode startup to global category leader. He brought to Pentera more than 15 years of experience scaling early-stage ventures. Prior to Pentera, he held senior global sales positions at successful financial technology companies like SuperDerivatives and Earnix, where he established and scaled the global sales team.
