The evolution of cloud computing in the financial sector has introduced complex security challenges that require innovative solutions. Samrat Bhatt of MatchMove Pay, who recently won Information Security Media Group's DCISO Award for technology innovation, shared his organization's journey to better cloud security.

The initiative aimed to bolster cloud security while empowering IT and security teams through skill enhancement, automation of security operations and protection of endpoints.

"One of the key challenges was the lack of cloud knowledge among our IT and security teams," Bhatt said. By focusing on continuous skill development and leveraging cloud governance and secure cloud configuration management, he was able to address the challenge head-on. "Continuous skill development was pushed. Skilling up within IT to secure cloud infrastructure was resolved with this project," he said.
