How XDR Helps Break Silos and Simplify Security Integration

XDR can help security organizations achieve better outcomes by ensuring simplification, consolidation, integration and automation in their cybersecurity environment. XDR integrates siloed security layers and helps to bridge the visibility gap, said Nitin Varma, managing director for India and SAARC at CrowdStrike.

The first step toward consolidation is to tap the endpoints, which is a common domain, to integrate multiple agents for building visibility and reducing operational friction.

"XDR converts alerts from one domain into a full incident and is able to give a context to an analyst for faster investigation, detection and response side, and that is how it's a great tool for the SOC guys," Varma said. "From a security standpoint, it helps you simplify and reduce complexity."
