Generative AI is a valuable tool for cybersecurity practitioners, France said. "Generative AI can improve the signal-to-noise ratio by helping manage and contextualize large volumes of security data. It can be used to offload repetitive tasks and provide additional context to security incidents, making security teams more efficient," France said.

In this interview with Information Security Media Group at Black Hat USA 2023, France also discussed:

  • The need for CISOs to understand both technology and the business;
  • How geopolitics affects cybersecurity;
  • Advice for aspiring professionals.

France has over 25 years of experience in enterprise IT and security within media and telecoms. Prior to ISC2, he worked at GSMA and LexisNexis.
