"It’s critical to put in place additional authentication processes, such as renewed passwords and biometrics, and also network segmentation tools and explain to the users why it was necessary to do so in protecting the data," says Alain Sanchez, EMEA CISO at the security firm Fortinet.

Manish Tiwari, senior vice president and global CISO at Bharti Airtel Ltd., a large telecommunications organization, says organizations “need to transform cybersecurity to provide a more effective threat intelligence feed. It will require more enhanced monitoring and application of automation, using artificial intelligence and machine learning tools for early detection of anomalies, he adds.

In this video discussion with Information Security Media Group, Sanchez and Tiwari offer insights on how to:

  • Mitigate third-party risks;
  • Use AI and ML to more quickly detect threats;
  • Take other essential steps to enhance the security posture of an organization.

Sanchez, the EMEA CISO at Fortinet, has 20 years of executive engagement experience in networks and telecommunications, advising companies engaged in digital transformation programs.

Tiwari, global CISO at Bharti Airtel, has more than 30 years of experience in information security and information operations. He is responsible for IT security initiatives in the Indian Navy.
