"This can be done by putting good, automated processes and very easily understandable workflows in place," he says. Doing that will prevent a lot of ransomware attacks or minimize the damage if there is a breach.

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, previewing an upcoming virtual roundtable discussion, Urs also discusses:

  • The challenges of a data loss prevention solution;
  • How DLPs have evolved;
  • How to tackle the issue of ransomware, privacy and data loss.

Urs has been in the security space since 2005. Previously, he held leadership positions at Veritas, Symantec, ArcSight and Barracuda.
