Alberto Hasson, the CISO at ICL Group, discusses how to avoid becoming the next victim of a ransomware or other malware attack. He outlines what defenders can do to close gaps in their defense strategies and how they can mitigate attackers' ever-evolving tactics.

Hasson says of ransomware, "You need to catch it while it's a fish and not a shark. The moment you have a shark in your system, you have a problem."

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Hasson discusses:

  • How attackers are succeeding despite our defenses;
  • Common gaps in organizations' defense strategies;
  • How to stay ahead of attackers' evolving tactics.
