"There are certain disclosures, certain methods of communications... everything has been very explicitly laid out," Deb says of the California law, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2020.

In a video interview at Information Security Media Group's recent Fraud and Breach Summit in Bengaluru, Deb also discusses:

  • Highlights of CCPA;
  • The potential impact of the California law on companies that do business with residents of the state;
  • How to prepare for compliance.

Before becoming CISO at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Deb was CISO at Max Life Insurance. He has also managed global information security at Bank of America and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. Deb has more than 16 years of experience in leading and managing global information security, business continuity, risk management and data privacy programs.
