Bridging the Divide Between Digitization and Cybersecurity

Airgap CEO Ritesh Agrawal on Reducing On-Premises and Remote Work Security Friction
Ritesh Agrawal, CEO and co-founder, Airgap Networks

The job of securing corporate assets is getting harder as remote working has created two sets of tools, policies and personnel to manage remote and legacy cybersecurity, says Airgap Networks CEO and co-founder Ritesh Agrawal. The industry needs to adopt a better way to unify access control connectivity across the hybrid workforce, he says.

"There have been some fundamental flaws in network infrastructure that have not been addressed by anybody in a long while. We’ve been talking about perimeter defense being not enough for a couple of decades, but we don’t see anyone trying to solve the problem at a fundamental level," Agrawal says.

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2022, Agrawal also discusses:

  • The major challenges facing enterprise security;
  • Key lessons learned from telecom security networks;
  • How Airgap is addressing the challenges of hybrid work.

Agrawal drives the Airgap Networks' strategy to accelerate the adoption of a modern approach to security that embraces the emerging zero trust architecture. He has over 20 years of experience across executive leadership, product management, customer support and sales functions with some of the world’s leading security and information technology companies.
